How to Book Your Air
Trip winners will receive a link to book flights for themselves and their guests at the completion of registration.
The following items are required for travel:
- A valid passport upon entry. Your passport must remain valid throughout the duration of your stay. We recommend your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates to ensure no issues.
- Airline Tickets - printed or accessed on your smartphone.
Travel Tips to Know Before You Go
IMPORTANT: We recommend that you re-confirm your flights directly with your airline 24 hours prior to departure in order to obtain your terminal and gate information.
Should your travel plans change on your travel day, please contact the WWEX Group Hospitality Staff: WWEXGroup@planningmode-events.com.
- With heightened security at all airports, we recommend that you arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours prior to your flight departure time. We also recommend that you pack any essential items and a change of clothing in your carry-on luggage, in case your luggage is lost.
- Lighters are not permitted in checked baggage if they are filled with fuel; however, common lighters are permitted in carry-on luggage. Matches are not permitted in checked baggage. You may have one book of safety matches in your carry-on luggage.
- Airports may require you to remove shoes and place them through the X-ray machine. “Slip-on” shoes allow for easier and faster access through the security checkpoint.
- Avoid wearing clothing, jewelry or accessories that contain metal. These items may set off the metal detectors. You will also be required to remove all outer coats, jackets and blazers.
- You will be required to remove all laptops and tablets from carry-on luggage to go through the X-ray machine individually.
- If you have TSA PreCheck clearance in the U.S., you will not be required to remove your shoes, jackets or blazers during security screening. Additionally, you will not be required to remove laptops, tablets, or liquids in a (1) one-quart bag from your carry-on luggage.
- Make a copy of your passport to carry with you. Should you accidentally lose the original document, the copy will make it much easier to have your passport replaced for re-entry into the U.S. It is also a good idea to leave a copy of your passport at home.
How to Find Your Transportation to the Hotel
- After de-boarding the plane at the airport, please proceed to the digital Immigration check-in kiosks on the left or to the manned Immigration counters on the right. If you use the digital kiosks, a receipt will be printed: do not throw it away since you will need to present it at the airline counter upon departure.
- Once you clear Immigration, you will then proceed to the baggage claim area to collect your luggage. Report any missing bags at this time.
- Once luggage is collected, each passenger must continue through Customs. Passengers may be selected for a routine luggage search when exiting Customs.
- Continue through the corridor where you will find several tourist information stands. Do not stop or accept discounts or promotions from the people inside the terminal. At the end of this hallway, pass through the set of glass doors to exit the airport, where the transportation staff will be waiting for you outside.
- Transportation representatives will be wearing khaki pants and a yellow shirt. They will be holding a designated sign with the WWEX Group/GlobalTranz/Unishippers logo.
- Guests will be driven straight to ATELIER Playa Mujeres Resort. Transfer time is 35 - 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
