Q: What are the entrance and exit requirements for Mexico?
A: Entrance into Mexico requires a valid passport upon entry. Your passport must remain valid throughout the duration of your stay. If you do not have a current passport valid at the time of entry, you will not be permitted to board your initial flight.
Re-entry into the U.S. will require both proof of citizenship and verification of identity, so keep your passport safe at all times while in Mexico. Upon checking in for your return flight, you will be required to present the portion of the tourist card that you obtained on your arrival. You will also be required to go through Immigration + Customs upon entering the U.S., even if you only have a layover. Customs inspectors are authorized to examine and search your luggage.
Q: How many bags can I bring?
A: For most airlines, each passenger is allowed two carry-on pieces of luggage; a purse or backpack will count as one of these two items. The policy for complimentary checked baggage varies for each airline. Please check the website for your specific airline regarding the baggage allowance.
Q: What is the attire?
A: Casual, cool, comfortable attire is suggested for all daytime activities. Shorts, sandals, bathing suits and cover-ups are acceptable. Swim coverups/shirts and shoes are required around the resort when not at the pool or the beach.
Resort Casual is appropriate for evenings.
- Men: pants, nice jeans, or nice shorts and a collared or button-down shirt.
- Women: sundresses, jumpsuits, skirts, nice shorts or pants and flats or wedges. A light sweater or jacket may be needed in the evenings as it tends to be cool once the sun sets, especially by the water.
Q: What do I do if I want to upgrade my room?
A: Complete your registration then send an email to the Service Trade Hospitality team to let them know your room upgrade preference.
Q: Can I bring a guest?
A: Yes, one guest per trip winner is invited to participate in the program. This guest must be 18+ years or older.
Q: How do I book flights for myself and my guest?
A: Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to request your flight through DEEM. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the email to submit your flight request. Be sure to switch to Classic Deem mode and select “2” passengers from the drop-down field to submit a request for you AND your guest.
Q: What if my guest is flying from a different airport than me?
A: You will need to submit separate requests for you and your guest. Your guest will need to create their own DEEM account and select their preferred flights.
Q: Neither my guest nor I currently hold a valid passport. What should we do?
A: Entrance into Mexico requires a valid passport that must remain valid throughout the duration of your stay. We recommend that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates to ensure no issues. Please complete your registration and leave the fields blank. Then promptly submit your application for an expedited passport.
